No I don’t feel guilty. The hospital microbiology lab where I work has lots of people working together including scientists and doctors. The laboratory has hundreds of different kinds of test for infection. Some are tests that have been used for years and some are new. Despite all these tests, sometimes we just can’t get to the bottom of what is wrong with a patient. It’s no-one’s fault. It’s just that we haven’t discovered everything about every kind of disease yet.
